For the past few years, Finland has struggled to make it to the finals, but then an incredible 2021 happened and Finland almost took its second Eurovision victory. Many may mind that Finland always tries the same style of music, but Finland is simply brilliant at it. This year’s song, which is a representative of Finland, Jezebel, a top song, speaks in favor of that.
The Rasmus is a top rock band founded back in 1994. I am glad that Finland has chosen top quality this year as well and that they are not giving up on rock songs because Eurovision needs that. I have a very positive opinion of the song Jezebel, a perfect connection between the lyrics and the music. It is a song that easily enters the ear has a great rhythm and I would listen to it every day.
Whether Finland can repeat last year’s success is hard to predict. I hope that The Rasmus will have a high level of staging and will convey that strong energy to the audience. This is a song that in my opinion must enter the finals because it is generally very good and in the sea of this year’s bad competition it is among the better songs.
I don’t find any obvious flaw in this song but I’m sure many may not like it because it’s simply a matter of personal taste. I grew up with rock bands like this and so I will always have great respect for them. I think Finland deserves the final this year as well and I believe it will achieve that. I don’t see it as a winning song but that can certainly change by May. Bravo Finland on another great choice. My rating for the song Jezebel is 8/10.
