Poland has shown this year that it is returning strongly to Eurovision after a total failure in Rotterdam. This year’s representative of Poland is Ochman with the song River. A strong, emotional, beautiful, and quality ballad that is suitable for the Eurovision Song Contest.
A song with a strong title worn by many world hits, it is full of potential for a great result. I think that Poland does not have to worry about entering the finals this year, this year they have a worthy singer who can express the emotion of the song. The lyrics are beautiful. The river has several parts that represent “the moment”. Therefore, I believe that Poland can expect an extremely good result this year.
Maybe I have a few complaints about the singer’s vocals, in some parts of the song it doesn’t sound very good to me, so I think this song needs a little revamp, mostly to unite the voice and the song into one perfect whole. The river really has good potential, I would dare say it has winning material, but with a little refinement. I also hope that Poland will have a real staging in Turin. Everything must match perfectly in order to reach the throne of Europe.
I agree with many fans that Ochman can be considered a favorite to win. I personally miss something to be able to say that the song River can surely win. This is an extremely big improvement over last year and I appreciate the effort given to find a good and quality song.
As I said, Poland is making it to the finals and I think if a little revamp of the song is made and a perfect staging is devised that Ochman can compete for the top 5. The River song has winning material and I hope the Polish delegation will know how to use it. I will be very glad for Poland to win for the first time. Anyway great bravo for choosing the song and I hope for the highest possible result. My rating for the song River is 8/10.
