Serbia is certainly the most successful country at Eurovision from the former Yugoslavia. Almost every year, Serbia is placed in the finals, and there is no doubt that it will be the same this season.
This year’s representative of Serbia is the amazing Konstrakta with the song In Corpore Sano. I have to admit that I hadn’t heard of this singer before, but as soon as I started researching a little more about her I was very impressed. Konstrakta is a notion of a real artist whose songs are seemingly simple but hide a very deep and powerful message.
The song In Corpore Sano is a work of art for me. To many, this song may have sounded like a parody at first, but it is actually a very profound and sharp critique of the health care system in Serbia. In a very intelligent way, she criticized the social problem of the society in which she lives.
Serbia abounds in a rich music scene, but Konstrakta is a very specific and unique singer and it is very brave to choose such a musical expression. Apart from the fact that the song has a very intelligent text, it has a very good and recognizable rhythm. I think that this year’s song of Serbia will be a real hit, like the song Shum last year.
I am sure that Konstrakta will make it to the finals. I hope the jury will recognize this song as it was recognized by the audience. Personally, I think In Corpore Sano may be the dark horse of this year’s Eurovision. I predict a very good success of this song, at least the top 10. We don’t have any songs like this in the competition and that’s why I expect a very good result. A big bravo for choosing a brilliant song. My rating for the song In Corpore Sano is 9/10.
