Although the new edition of the Eurosong is very close, I believe that many fans, like me, listen to Cha Cha Cha on repeat every day and still regret that this song did not win. Käärijä is the winner of the audience and no one can take that away from him, his performance will be talked about for many years to come. But it is time for new representatives of Finland who will try to achieve last year’s success.
The representatives of Finland are Windows95man with the song No Rules. Let’s be realistic, this song, as well as the performance itself, is nowhere close to Käärijä’s performance, let alone a song. This song is a perfect example of why we love and hate Eurovision simultaneously. You don’t know whether to laugh or cry. It’s so bad that it’s exciting and has infectious music, and you can’t stay immune to the stage performance and you can’t stop watching.
I don’t even know if I can say I like it or not, it evokes opposite feelings at the same time. I think that this song will cause a lot of attention in Sweden, the viewers in front of the TV will be in shock. Comedy performances are mostly always well received by the audience and evoke positive energy. This can either have 0 points or it will blow up the televotes. In my opinion, Finland’s passage to the final is unquestionable, but the situation in the final will be drastically different.
I think the jury will not vote for this song, it will probably suffer the same fate as the representatives of Croatia with the song Mama Ĺ ÄŚ, who was second to last in the final with a minimum of 11 points. I assume that the neighbors will give some points to Finland, but they may be among the bottom 5 according to the jury. The audience will probably save the situation, but I don’t think Finland has a chance to get into the top 10, maybe even the top 15. There will be votes, but not enough for any success.
The song is not that bad, classic Eurovision that we have heard many times but not enough for this year, My rating for the song No Rules! is 6/10.
