San Marino has shown that it can find a song that deserves great success at Eurovision, Senhit has earned a minimum of the top 10 for its fantastic song and high-quality performance. Last year, San Marino had an authentic and different song, but this year that country will be represented by a bad version of Damian David.
Achille Lauro is this year’s San Marino representative with the song Stripper. The song Stripper has real rebellious rock, it’s rude but I think it was chosen at the wrong time. After Maneskin, rarely will anyone find this singer interesting, anyway, everyone thinks this is a bad attempt at a copy of last year’s winning song.
The song isn’t bad, it sounds good, but for me, Maneskin has set too high a standard in terms of rock and roll, so it’s sure to take a long time for someone to reach that level without copying Maneskin. I don’t think Achille Lauro will make it to the finals because he is a representative of a country that is having a hard time getting points. Senhit had a song that deserved the top 10 and received a devastating few votes. For me, it was one of the major injustices that happened in Rotterdam.
Stripper is a solid song, but I think it was wrong to choose that style of music right away this year. I doubt Achille will make it to the finals but of course, surprises are always possible. Whatever happens, I wish good luck to San Marino. My rating for the song Strupper is 5/10.
