Given that all 40 songs that will participate in Eurovision have been released, I am more and more sure that the ballad will win this year, but of course, I may be completely wrong. I didn’t have any expectations from Greece but when the song Die Together performed by Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord was released, I thought about how Greece could win its second win this year.
When I look at the statistics, how the jury votes, how the audience votes, I think that Greece could really win if the live performance is perfectly good. I was even more thrilled by the fact that Amanda herself wrote this song which is very intimate, and very personal and that is why it is so special.
I hope the beginning of the song in a live performance will be sung without musical or vocal accompaniment. I think that at the beginning as well as at the end of the song it can win over the audience and the jury and ultimately win. This song completely won me over. I have a few favorites that I objectively think deserve to win but Greece is completely number one and I would really like to win.
I hope for a minimalist performance in which Amanda and her emotions will come to the fore. A heartbreaking song that can be interpreted in a variety of ways. I see it as an intimate story about the end of a love that evokes emotions that many have felt at some point in life.
Last year I wanted Switzerland to win, this year it is Greece. When you hear a song and you know that’s it. The perfection of the song. I would love for it to win but it will all depend on that big night in May. My rating for the song Die Together is 10/10.
