As I mentioned in earlier articles, this year’s Eurovision season is dominated by eccentricity. Rarely are such songs good enough without crossing the lines of bad taste.
However, this year convinced me, that such songs can be fantastic, especially the song Cha Cha Cha performed by the incredible Käärijä. From the moment I heard and saw the performance of the song Cha Cha Cha, I was completely delighted.
The song shows in a humorous way the everyday troubles of an ordinary man. Exhaustion from work, burndown, situations we are tired of. The problems we face and struggle with every day, this song shows the positive and negative emotions that each of us has probably experienced.
This is a very intelligent song, Käärijä with his theatricality credibly describes all the feelings that this song provides, frustration, anger, and nirvana. I am absolutely delighted with this song and it is a winning song for me. There are many critics who don’t like this song, but in my opinion, this is refreshing and a step towards the diversity offered to us on the Eurovision stage.
Finland is in the first semi-final group and is also the last to perform. I expect that there will be ecstasy and delight. Although Sweden is the main favorite to win, in my opinion, Finland certainly deserves to win this year and I really hope it will be like that. Cha Cha Cha is real winning material, it has what it takes and my 12 points go to Finland for sure. My rating for the song Cha Cha Cha is 10/10.
