Norway is my favorite Scandinavian country at the Eurovision Song Contest, they have a fantastic song almost every year. They have a sense of creativity and a good hit. This year Norway is represented by Subwoolfer with the song Give That Wolf A Banana.
Since I’m a big fan of The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?), This reminds me a lot of that song and that’s why Norway’s choice is brilliant. I really like the concept of masked singers who want to hide their identity. The song is bizarre but that is why it is attractive and interesting.
I have to compliment the great vocals of the singer and the very creative staging, I hope they will transfer it to Turin. The song won me over on first listening and I think it has great potential for a very good result in Turin. We often have cases where states try to attract attention with a “strange song”, but it often happens that such songs cross the boundaries of good taste and become a bad parody.
Give That Wolf A Banana is in all bounds of moderation, it is still bizarre and represents a parody, but that good and fun parody that the audience will be willing to vote for. I think that the choice of Norway is great and that we will definitely have a good spectacle. And I believe this will be a big hit outside of Eurovision as well.
There is no doubt or fear for Norway, they will surely qualify for the finals because their representative song is certainly different from all the others. In my opinion, Norway will certainly win a large number of points by televoting and they can expect a very high result, at least in the top 10. Bravo for creativity, see you in final Norway. My rating for the song Give That Wolf A Banana is 8.5 / 10.
