The Norwegian national final was certainly fascinating this year. Mostly because we knew that Keino wanted to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest again and they had a song that could shake up the televotes. However, Gåte took the win with a minimal six-point lead and I don’t think anyone is sad about that.
The song Ulveham is amazing, epic. It leaves a great first impression, strong, and cinematic. I’m glad that Norway is being presented in its original language after so many years, which is why the song has a mystical effect. The stage performance is phenomenal, as far as I’m concerned, no major changes are needed in Sweden. The main vocalist of the group has a wonderful voice. The song could be part of some epic blockbuster.
I am looking forward to not having to predict a bad result because it is certain that Norway will go to the finals. I even think that they could win televotes in the semi-final group if they don’t have a tougher opponent. Norway can be in the top five because they will surely take a large part of the televote.
Whether Norway can win is hard to say. In recent years, the jury has not been kind to Norway, which I consider unfair, because they had a song that could win in 2019 and 2023, and they were damaged by the jury. I think that Ulveham will be in the top 5 in televote and maybe in the top 3, depending of course on the competition. However, at the moment I do not see a win, but if the performance is epic and magnificent and the jury recognizes that quality, then we can consider Norway as a candidate for a potential winner.
I am glad that they are persistent in maintaining the high standard of the songs they send to Eurosong and that they are always ready to fight for the highest result of the competition. My rating for the song Ulveham is 8.5/10.
