Luxembourg 2024 – Tali – Fighter

Luxembourg 2024 – Tali – Fighter

When we discovered Luxembourg decided to return to the Eurovision community after 30 years, we were all delighted because we wanted as many participating countries as possible. Luxembourg has a vibrant Eurovision history, they have five victories, which is a very desirable success for a small European country.

Before the songs that would compete in the national competition were known, I had no expectations of what kind of song we could expect. I thought that they would immediately try to establish themselves as a strong participating country attacking the top 10.

Unfortunately, the songs offered were not enchanting, but it is foolish to be critical of that, considering that Luxemburg has not been on the Eurovision stage for 30 years. The representative of Luxembourg is Tali with the song Fighter. The song is mediocre, the chorus is a cliché, and it reminds me of the songs that dominated in 2010, a typical Eurovision song. I like the part in French where she sings in high notes. I also like her stage performance, you can see that effort has been put into it. The song is okay but nothing to impress.

This is not a song that can in any way compete for the win, it is even questionable whether the song will make it to the finals considering the competition in the semi-final group. I don’t know if we can expect some sympathy votes to push Luxembourg to the final just because they haven’t been there in 30 years. I would like Tali to make it to the finals, but I would like the song to be much stronger, more effective, and more impressive.

I’m really happy that Luxembourg is back and I want them to stay with us as long as possible and to come out with a song that will shake up the competition in the Eurovision world. My rating for the song Fighter is 6.5/10.
