After the incredible last year in which Konstrakta achieved incredible success, Serbia has a difficult task to repeat the same. If the jury was fairer, Konstrakta could have been in the top 3 in the final ranking.
This year, Serbia is represented by Luke Black with the song Samo Mi Se Spava. The song is interesting and very futuristic, it reminds me a lot of the Stranger Things series. This is also another in a series of eccentric songs that want to attract the attention of the audience this year. It has great potential to rise to an even higher level with its staging.
I think that Serbia goes to the finals without major problems, as in most of the previous years. However, I don’t think it will achieve a significant result in the final because the jury probably won’t be generous with their points. I like that Serbia offers something different again and I’m glad that after many years we have a male representative.
The only complaint I have is the singer’s poor vocal abilities, but on the other hand, they are ideal for this type of song. All in all, I am satisfied with the choice of Serbia and I don’t think that Konstraka’s success will be repeated, but what is guaranteed to be minimal success is the placement in the final. My rating for the song Samo Mi Se Spava is 7.5/10.
