The Roop is back! Last year’s favorites to win the Eurovision Song Contest represent Lithuania this year as well and are again convincing favorites to win the competition.
Although they had to win the national competition, since the beginning of the new season they have been the main favorites to win, which was officially confirmed on February 6th.
This year, they represent Lithuania with the song Discoteque. As the name suggests, this is a great dance song with an unusual sound that immediately invites people to dance. In addition to being fun, Discoteque has a wonderful message, to remove our limits and get rid f them completely. That’s why The Roops is special.
This is the current number 1 to win, and it will probably stay that way even when the remaining songs are released, or at least in the top 3. I would really be glad if Lithuania finally wins. I am sure that this song will achieve a very high result in televoting.
With the exception of the competition, the only thing that can make it harder for The Roop to win is, in my opinion, the national jury. As it turns out, they usually give the most points to classical pop songs and ballads. I really hope that doesn’t happen this year.
Last year they were supposed to compete with the song On fire, which is also phenomenal. Both songs are equally dear to me and I find both to be a win.
I wish all the luck to The Roop and for Lithuania to surpass its best result so far at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Are you happy with the song Discoteque? Do you think that Lithuania will finally achieve the desired victory?
