Our first performer of the year is Anxhela Peristeri with the song Karma representing Albania. I have to say, I am a big fan of Albania on Eurovision, it always brings uniqueness and quality.
Anxhela Peristeri is a pretty singer with a powerful voice so she can bring out the drama from this song. I am really glad that the song is in the Albanian language this year again since the language is really beautiful. I hold the opinion that exactly singing in the national language brought Albania such success in the last few years.
Song Karma is a power ballad with oriental sounds. As with most Albanian songs, I like this one a lot as well, but I think it will be overly successful in the competition. The song definitely deserves a spot in the finals, I see it in the top 20, but of course, it’s still too early to predict the results considering we don’t know what the competition will be like.
Since last year the competition was not held, we can make the comparison with the song Shaj of Arliena ARA who unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to compete. The song Shaj (yes, the original one) was a better choice, I think it would have achieved a significant result.
Anyway, I wish all the the best to Anxhela Peristeri. 🙂
